I went to this restaurant for my birthday after seeing the amazing reviews on google and was EXTREMELY disappointed. After being seated it took 20 minutes for someone to finally come to greet us, ask if we wanted anything to drink or even show us the menu. After we finally ordered our drinks it took an additional 20 minutes to get our drinks considering the bartender was literally standing at the bar watching the game. Finally we order our food and it comes out cold. Not to mention the waiter never came to check in to ask how we were doing, or even to see if we needed refills NOTHING. She literally came to take our orders and gave us the cold food when it was ready. I finally asked to speak with the manager and politely explained to her that it was my birthday and I was a little disappointed with the service and all she said was sorry. I will never go back there again. It's a shame because this is a beautiful restaurant but such poor service and management.

Nice atmosphere at the bar. It was brunch Sunday and the endless mimosas flowed seamlessly. The staff were friendly and polite. Overall good food, to match the good vibes the area gives off. I would recommend making a reservation or you will take your chances of sitting at the bar / bar high top.

My wife and I hosted a friend for dinner Sunday evening Sept. 17 before attending a Washington Nationals game. The service was very good with only the bar a little slow in production -- but the place was filled with fans watching the Redskins game on TV. The menu is filled with an abundance of options. My wife enjoyed the pulled pork, our guest had the watermelon-tomato salad and I had the ribs. All were very, very good and we will definitely go back.
One tip for you: They had valet parking for $25 which included the time during the ball game. All of the surrounding places charged $35 or more for self parking. What a deal!! Go for the parking and stay for the food.

I had the Sunday Brunch Special - Brisket Hash. Can we say "Delicious!"?!?!? The brisket was juicy and everything was cooked to perfection. Swing by for Bottomless Mimosas in your spare time before a Nationals Game. It's worth it!

Excellent southern eatery in the Navy yard neighborhood. I lived in deep South Alabama and only recently moved here from there. This restaurant is pretty good even in comparison to most of the restaurants I visited in the South. I had the brisket, and unlike a previous reviewer, had no issues with it being tough or having poor flavor. The grits are phenomenal, and their cocktails are pretty good. If you like bbq, comfort food, and Good cocktails, give this place a try.
