Outstanding restaurant. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer which were outstanding. I had the signature beef wellington and my wife had the petite fillet as our main course. Both were fantastic. We will definitely be dining there again soon.

Got a late start on reservations on Valentines day. The Chalkboard had some tables from cancellations. No wonder because they had a special menu that night ranging from $70 to $100 a plate. $40 if you wanted what wine they had paired to the meals. I got the bill, I knew it would be high. Signed the ticket with a tip. First time in years I calculated a tip. I usually just leave a $10 if it is dinner. 15% yielded $30, drinks and dinner. They ran my card and it was good. Then they brought me two "receipts." One marked customer copy, one called merchant copy. I started to fill out the merchant one and realized I had already paid the bill. I called the waiter over and eventually he wound up snatching the ticket out of my hand. I said bring the manager. Belligerent man. Said he needed a signed copy. I said you have one. He said he would not have double charged me. How do I know that? Also they changed my dates order because she mentioned a food allergy with out informing us. Never going back, ever. Anti-recommendations from now on.
