Easy, yet fun disc golf course.

4 stars for being a wonderful beginner's course.
This is Tucson's newest disc golf course, situated in Sears Park just behind (to the south) Park Place Mall. It is in a horse shoe shape.
This course has 9 baskets which are reused for 18. It is about 50% grass and there are hardly any trees. Except for a few tee boxes and an occasional basket, there are no tree hazards which makes this course beginner-friendly and great for practicing your drives, putts, and if you have big guns, your midrange game.
The few trees in the park are mature and the nice thing is that a few of the tee boxes are in shade, at least when I played in this summer morning. As of this writing, it is so new that the cement tee boxes are not poured yet, with a slated official opening in July. The first 9 are marked by pink whiskers and generally follow the north wall. The second 9 generally follow the south park border and are marked by white whiskers. Since there is not an official course map or markers yet, my best guess at length of the baskets are between 240' and 310'.
It is fun to be able to just focus on your throw and not have to worry about obstacles or O.B. shots. However, one does have to be careful on a couple of baskets so that the wind or a slice/shank does not send your disc into the mall parking lot circumference road. That would be bad when the mall is open as you could hit a car. Either be very careful or play when the mall is not open.
There is not as much wind here as at Santa Cruz and definitely not like at Grove's Park. It is a multi-use park, so you do have to be aware of other park users.
