Very disappointed. Group of seven including two young children. Arrived at 7 pm, two hours before closing. Plenty if time gor yhe simple pasta we ordered. Children's orders came 8:15 pm. Left the restaurant with our order to go at 10 pm. Adding to the horrible experience we were charged separately for items that were supposed to be included in the meals. Never again.

No ambience. Frozen pizza has more taste!

Waited 15 minutes at the table before someone came over. Told the girl we called and couldn't get through. She said,"Oh, I was in the phone and heard a lot of beeps. That must have been you." Then I asked how long the pizzas were taking since we were going to watch the Blue Angels. She said she would find out. Then she walked to the back counter and started taking orders from people at the counter. She never came back. 5 minutes later a guy came up and asked if he could help us. I asked how long the pizzas were taking and he turned and walked away.
Then we left.
There were people at other tables when we got there. I asked them if we ordered somewhere or if they can to the table. He said no one has come over yet.
Yikes. Serious service issues.

I lived on Mercer Island in the past for a few years. I used to go here all the time for 1 of 2 things.
1. Classic spaghetti and meatballs. Their meatballs are really really good, better than many of the "up scale" places has I been at. in fact I would even call them the best in Seattle. The sauce is also good, not runny, nice and thick!
2. Salad, their side dinner salads are really good, Freshly graded cheese, a slice of hard salami and a really really good italian vinaigrette.
Their pizza is good but nothing to write home about. I think most people who like a rustic tomato sauce will like it.
If you are one of those types who prefer all the added sugar type sauces then their pizza may not be for you. Another way to tell if you will like this place is if you like the offensive taste of Wheat Thins. If you like those sugar loaded sorry excuse for a cracker, this place is not for you.
This place as been around for a long long time, the atmosphere is nothing great but also not harsh on the eyes. It old, warm and comforting.
The service has much to be desired, it has been pretty bad the last few times I have been over the years so if you go here, expect to wait for the waitstaff.
