Icon is a Seattle icon. Great food. Gorgeous interior. Family owned. Located right in the heart of downtown.

Fancy atmosphere, OK food. Not bad at all, but nothing great. I really think it's the ambiance here which I would describe as maybe chic? I had lunch here and it was good. Maybe cocktails and happy hour is the sweet spot here. Which I would go back and try.

I always have a hard time deciding what to order as they have so many delicious options, including great appetizers and desserts. It does get crowded and booked up, but sometimes has better availability than other downtown restaurants since it is 2 blocks north of Westlake Center which actually makes it a great option... Easy to walk to from anywhere in the core or easy to drive to and park at lower rates than other core places.

I have eaten here twice but the food has not impressed me for the price. In both cases the food sounded and looked good but was rather bland. I regretted the Mac and cheese the first time. The second time I had brie and apple stuffed chicken but found minimal brie and no apple flavor. The broccoli was cooked properly and the mashed potatoes were good and rich.
The atmosphere is good. Plenty off eclectic local art to admire.
