I liked to walk down here for some solitude when I went to school at UW. It's usually quiet, and a nice place to sit and think.

Small park tucked away underneath I5 along the waterfront. Actually quiet and peaceful given its location. Nice place to stretch your legs if biking along the waterfront.

Little-known shoreline park a little bit east of the big Ivar's Restaurant. It's noisy, of course, due to the I-5 bridge that looms above it, but it can be a cool place to watch the sailboats go by the passage in the ship canal, and also you can see the University drawbridge do its thing!

The views from here are amazing. I watched the firework from here. Great lookout onto lake union but if you look for some tranquility, it's probably not the right place. I-5 runs right above your head and during the week and especially rush hour, this can get pretty noisy.
