Amazing hand rolls and unique sashimi. Must try: spicy tuna hand roll, spicy scallop hand roll, "pumpkin" sashimi.

Nice little restaurant with good food. I'm glad it's local and that i don't have to worry about parking.

a little neighborhood restaurant in the outer Richmond. super cozy place a bit away (actually it's not only "a bit." imagine how far balboa theatre is from downtown) I went there Sunday early evening. 2 customers and of course I didn't need to wait to be seated. the server, she is adorable. a bit robot-like but that's her charm. I ordered kamikaze sushi roll and miso ramen. sushi roll is decent. looks yummy. fish is fresh and spicy tuna inside is not too spicy. perfect much of spicy. I actually got 2nd one. still good. I wasn't WOW for miso ramen tho. taste ok but it's more taste like shio (oriental or salt based it's called?) ramen than miso ramen. ramen is just ok. but next time I'll try saba shioyaki or tempura, those entrèe. one thing. there are pictures on the wall. bunch of girls wearing kimono. I'm pretty much sure it's Japanese version of disney princesses. good. recommended

TLDR: Okay sushi (not bad), but subpar service.

Service was.. apathetic throughout our dinner. When we were ordering, she didn't even write down our items (AGAIN, which is completely fine), but she just had a dead look on her face and didn't even nod or repeat the order to us, and at the end (here's the kicker), was just like, "That's it?" Guuuuuuurl. No smiles, no checking in on us, had to ask for tea/water.

Food: is not BAD and okay for the price. Everything we had was, again, just okay - they didn't overdo it on the rice and the amount of fish they used in their sushi was fair. Like someone else said, it's about two notches above buffet sushi - the grade of fish is not the freshest but it's not the worst either. One of their saving graces was that their avocado was fresh and they didn't skimp on that.

I could see this as a convenient spot if you live in the Outer Richmond, or have a Groupon, and just want to satisfy your sushi craving but definitely not somewhere to go out of your way for.
