I come here most days to walk my dog. There is a really nice group of dogs (and people) who come on a regular basis.
Occasionally campers will do their business instead of using the restroom so watch out for that

Nice dog park, not 100% secure if your hound is a flight risk.

Corona heights is by far my favorite viewpoint of San Francisco. It is relatively unknown so it is not as busy as other view points like Twin Peaks. This being said, there is a little effort involved to get to see this great view. One has to walk about two hundred meters up hill to be able to enjoy the panoramic scenery. However, once at the top you will not be disappointed.

Be careful bringing your dogs to the park. There is a coyote in the area that has killed residents dogs recently. Other than that it is a great park. Lots of walkimg paths, tennis courts, and a basketball court. If you have children that are afraid of dogs please don't bring them here. It is a DOG park after all.

A very doable climb for the whole family and a gorgeous view. I prefer it over Twin Peaks. It's perfect if you're living or simply exploring the Castro. Perfect for pup owners as -- Corona Heights has a dog park and is super close to the Duboce Dog Park.
