WOW! What a wonderful evening we had at Bouley. The restaurant was so beautiful, service was spot on, and oh the food! The chef sent out complimentary side dishes also, which was a very pleasant plus. Yes, the prices are dear, however we felt that it was totally worth it! Unfortunately, Bouley will be closing soon, so do go before you miss out on a true epicurean experience you will not forget .

The last time I was here it was the best hotel restaurant ever. That was in February. This time it was the worst! The menu changed. I'm a vegetarian and they were out of eggplant. Very little else on the menu that didn't have meat. Wound up with cold lumpy squash soup and caesar salad. They were also out of the first two wines I tried to order. Time to find a new hotel next time I come to Rochester. The only positive note was the waitress. She was very nice and professional.

This was the 5th or 6th time dining here. The time before last night marked a downward change in the restaurant, however, because it was New Years Eve, we though it to be a fluke. Last Night, the dinner menus were plastic laminated and filthy like a Diner, even though the prices where still that of a top end establishment. I had a fish fry (special) that was tasty but very very small, for $22 (can get one twice the size, just about anywhere else on a Friday night during Lent in Rochester, for half that price). My husband returned to an old favorite, the Lobster Mac & Cheese. It was totally different than it used to be there. It was actually the featured dish when Scene on Main was honored in our local newspaper last year. It used to have a LOT more lobster and was made with different pasta and higher quality cheese. It was certainly NOT worth the $29 price tag! It was made with Ditalini Pasta ($.99 per pound at grocery store), cheep cheddar cheese and some bacon flakes and spices. It probably cost less than $3 to make the dish - Not a bad profit margin. Last-timers! Will never dine there again! Feeling sorry for the Hotel visitors who end up paying $30 for a half a box of Kraft macaroni & cheese! Not to mention the cheap-labeled wine that ran for $12-$16 per glass!
