Better recently than the last time I visited. All food came as ordered. Service was acceptable for the size of my group.

Set in a historic Victorian style home, it's a great, romantic setting for a special occasion dinner. We went for a second anniversary and had fantastic service and both had superb 3 course meals, with champagne, of course! One of the best that Raleigh has to offer.

Very elegant spot to eat! The wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the food was full of excellent flavors.
I tried the Iowa pork belly, lamb rack, and key lime pie for dessert...it was a very pleasant experience!

Was here a few weeks ago for a Birthday.
I was really excited after many years of hearing about this place, but was sadly unimpressed. The biggest annoyance was waiting for drinks, a huge pet peeve of mine. Each table has a main waiter AND an additional assistant waiter, so there is really no excuse to ever have an empty glass on the table. Still, we had to keep waiting for someone to come by so we could order another round and even for water refills as well.
Food was cooked well, but unnecessarily pretentious.
Both men and women's bathrooms were dirty. The ladies stalls were out of toilet paper, and the trash bin was so full that trash was just thrown on the floor. This is really low standard for what's supposed to be considered a "high-end" establishment.
3 stars based on ambiance, delicious deserts, and the cocktails were pretty yum when we actually got the pleasure of being served.
This place has consistently great reviews, so perhaps we were just there on an off night.. but I personally couldn't recommend this place after our experience. So many other great restaurants in the downtown Raleigh area to try instead!
