If you have never had cook out...please try it. I have been to this location twice and both times were great. Chopped BBQ sandwich, hushpuppies, slaw and onion rings are all really good here. Watch out about going to this location on a friday/saturday late at night. You might get stuck was in a HUGE line!

Very good burgers and sides! Milkshakes are okay but not crazy about them (also had a piece of plastic in it one time but no big deal) still 5 stars for the burgers

Exactly what it needs to be. Fast, cheap, and surprisingly decent food considering the low cost. I usually get the BBQ sandwich and a couple sides as part of the $5 meal deal. This place is extremely popular with students as you can imagine.

I really like this cookout as compared to others. The lines move quickly and the service is usually excellent. I would advise that you go before 10:30pm to 11pm because afterwards it gets really crowded with college students. Weeknights are okay, avoid during weekends.

Being the closest Cookout to the campus of NC State University, this cookout is occasionally fairly crowded late evenings and weekends. The service is still great, and my order has only been messed up once in the 6 years I've been here.
Traffic flow can get a tad ridiculous with the two drive through lanes occasionally blocking the parking. So if you want to park on a busy day, I recommend parking below and walking up.
