Haymaker is one of my favorite spots in Raleigh. There are great drinks, great music (90s hip hop), and a very relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for hanging out in groups and getting drinks.

Superb drinks with table service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the specialty drinks and provided great recommendations. Must be a member to enter, but you just pay a $1 cash fee (no change available) for a lifetime membership. I believe this was a common thing in the area due to a new law or ordinance.

Super hip. A little masculine, a little trendy, very laid back. Even my grouchy fiancee enjoyed the ambience of this place. It is a quieter bar than some of the surrounding hot spots and is set up perfectly for small groups or dates. The drinks are high-quality and the bartenders are super knowledgeable and will make you some incredible custom creations if you ask. I recommend getting there early and staying for the night as they are strict about capacity and people are not apt to leave quickly.

I visited with my husband and two friends to share a punch bowl (we chose The New Jump Off) recently on a Saturday afternoon. It was a great time to visit because there weren't many people there yet, so we could take over the couch sitting area. Not only was the punch delicious, but there was plenty of it for the 4 of us (and a really great value). The interior design of the space is also beautiful, and the menus are hilarious. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into the branding of the space. The bartender and waitress were personable and very quick, too. Can't wait to go back!
