On a road trip with friends we found this on a diners, drive ins and dives map. The service was great, friendly and helpful. The food was dynamite! Our order was a little late and they immediately offered a fresh maple bacon doughnut. It was delicious! I got the hangover burger. I asked for no bun and switched cheese out. They had no issue with me asking. My friends got breakfast burritos. The portions were big and the food was outstanding! I even bought a tshirt. I highly recommend this diner. Super cute interior and cool history!

The food was too greasy and not very well seasoned. The service was just alright, I guess. Nothing to brag about but nothing really went wrong. There was a little girl running around the place taking orders which was kind of odd. I won't be returning here, there are way better diners nearby.

Delicious eggs Benedict with a lemon based sauce. Scallions on the home fries were a welcomed treat!

Their breakfast pizza was delicious! Great diner and great staff. High quality locally grown ingredients.

In response to the former reviews, The Elmwood Diner also hires people with developmental disabilities to help staff both the kitchen and dining room.
If there is an occasional error or if the service is a little slower than you would like please be patient. They are giving these adults the opportunity to learn a viable trade while attaining valuable work experience.
I eat lunch here twice a week and have never found this to be an issue.
I am more than happy to wait an extra 5 minutes for my lunch knowing that this business does what so many other businesses in RI should do.
They are giving back to our residents and community by providing much needed opportunities to people that are in dire need of them.
