I see Elliot daily. On a business to business level he's very professional and respectful to his neighboring businesses. This alone made me go in and see about getting an unfinished piece completed. His portfolio is great, excellent line work.

In a nearly 10 year long impossible adventure of finding the artist and artwork that would create a memorial tattoo for my late brother I found Elliot through a friend. After one quick consult with him I was immediately confident that he'd easily be able to turn my vague and spotty ideas into something great. I could not have been more right.

The passion and excitement you get to see in Elliot as the tattoo has grown is very awe inspiring. I'm truly taken back when I watch him work on my arm and see him getting really into it. Passion really drives this guy.

As for the piece, we have worked through about 8.5-9 hours of a full sleeve based around more traditional Japanese art. You can see part of the progress in his black/grey artwork portfolio on the studio's website.

The end result is truly fantastic. I receive comments and compliments on a constant daily basis, even from other artists and industry types I've met in my travels. If you're looking for a place in Portland to get ink, Elysium is it hands down.

On 10.20.2010, I started a custom art work 1/2 sleeve by Ellliot Thomas. It is currently in Phase 1 until November 20th, so by no means is it a complete piece. Yet, I get compliments from people walking down the street, in my place of business, the grocery store, anywhere I go, every single day! It's original, the line work is UH-MAZING and it's not even finished! (I will have Elliot post some pictures soon.) As far as talented, reputable and professional artists go, Elliot Thomas is at the top of the list. He is a wonderful individual who cares about the work he does. He treats people with respect, which, I don't know about you but I hate going to a tattoo studio and getting the artist who thinks they are an elitist treating me like I don't have a clue. Elliot is just the opposite. He actually cares about what you want and will do everything to make sure you LOVE what you get. I mean, come on, it's on your body for the rest of your days. So, in closing, would I recommend each and every person to Elysium Studios. The answer is HELL YES. No doubt about it.
