Five of my children were patients of Dr. Royse for several years. He is an awesome dentist and his former staff was fantastic!! However, in the past year, things have changed with the addition of a new partner. We had to come in 3 times to have cavities filled and the final appointment was pushed back 2.5 hours AFTER we had already arrived. Staff thought it would be OK for my young kids to go 20 hours without food/water that day! Despite showing up 3 times, we never got any fillings and now I get to hassle with transferring to another dentist. Unless you can only deal with Dr. Royse directly, I'd advise going elsewhere.

Dr. Royse is an amazing dentist. He's extremely patient, works well with children who have anxiety or other challenges in medical settings and is always on time! His staff is amazing as well. Definitely worth the trip downtown PDX.

My kids LOVE Doctor Royse and actually look forward to going to the dentist! I wish he was around when I was a kid. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Royse has been a great dentist for our 4 year-old. Extremely knowledgable, great 'chair-side' manner and a well-stocked prize drawer. =]

We have been going for over a year now. My kids love going and trust him completely. He has helped them keep their mouths in great shape. And even knows how to calm an anxious child. I am thankful we found him.
