Referred to Dr. Freed for knee problems collateral to another issue. His knowledge, demeanor, and, generally what used to be called "bedside manner", was terrific. He explained things in terms easily understood, not "doctor speak", making it very comfortable to discuss the problem with him. You don't find many "physiatrists" around, but regardless of where you do, you won't find better than Dr. Freed. BTW: he's tagged in searches as a physical therapist, but he is a doctor specializing in physiatry ("a M.D. or O.D. who specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation")

16 years ago when I broke my neck (C 5-6 complete motor, incomplete sensory) Dr. Freed was my first post acute physician. He was extremely knowledgeable then and I improved while under his care and supervision.
