I loved going to J's for the blue steak and calamari , which was the beat in town. The last time we went we were told they weren't serving calamari any longer. Goodbye J's.

There were 5 of us. We all ordered steaks, all of the steaks were over cooked. We also ordered double drinks, all drinks were single shots and we got charged for doubles. Steaks were not cooked to order. Service was bad in general. I would not recommend this to anyone. MRE'S are better, avoid this place.

Wonderful atmosphere, staff know exactly when you want them to be there to assist you and when to leave you alone. I highly recommend the filet Oscar for dinner and the steak/lobster appetizer, So good! The food is high quality, but the pricing is equal, not overpriced.

My wife and I recently went to dine at J's for the first time for dinner. The place was really quiet (A Saturday evening). Maybe our first clue? We thought the menu was somewhat limited and a little more money than other similar places we have dined at. We noticed that a number of people came in and sat, but after looking at the menu they departed The ribeye I had was very good but the vegetable slices were tough towards the skins. My wife had the Strawberry salad. She thought for the price they could have done more than lettuce, pecans, onions. A bread or bun would be better also. We have had better meals for less else wear and friendlier wait staff. Sorry but we won't be back....

Salt is their favorite seasoning. The steaks are so salty that it's hard to taste the meat. Their pasta dishes are likewise loaded with salt and under flavored. Nothing subtle here, just plain Midwestern salty. Two visits, one weekday and one weekend, at different times of the year, and still salt, salt, salt. Good atmosphere, outstanding service.
