Prime Rib was excellent as always, Jess our server was great. Travel all over the country for a living and she's one of my favorite servers. Very attentive, great attitude. Dessert was fantastic too, Pumpkin Creme Brulee.

Atmosphere was great. Our waitress Shannon was AWESOME. Spaghetti was awful. Everything else was great.

This restaurant has a lot of potential, but I was really disappointed when we visited here tonight. We just moved to the area, and tried this place for the first time. Now being someone who has worked in fine dining, I do have high standards for white tablecloth restaurants, but this was really poor service for a higher quality restaurant. Once seated, we were not greeted for a few minutes, and when we finally were our waiter said “How’s it going?” If we are going to pay $25 dollars or more a plate, I firmly believe a more formal greeting should be protocol—example “Welcome to the Olive Leaf Bistro, how are you doing this evening.” It shows the waiter actually cares about our experience, instead of just being forced to serve us. Not to mention a table should be greeted within at least one minute—preferably 30 seconds.

On a smaller note, the menu's we were provided were covered in the previous clients meal, they were sticky to the touch--as if 3 day old juice had been spilled and never cleaned up, and the table top had sticky spots as well.

Stuff goes wrong in restaurants, I understand that but inform your table that you acknowledge the problem and are doing something about it. We ordered some beers and there was a problem with the draft, but we sat there for 10-12 minutes in an empty restaurant (we got there early dinner) wondering what was taking so long. We never found out our waiter’s name, and I feel he only came to the table when he was needed as opposed to making sure we were never in need of something. Not to mention he dropped off the check while I was still eating my dinner—I found this very improper for fine dining. My chicken came out on my salad cold, which I understand that some restaurants do that, but I like it hot so I put it on a small dish and asked the waiter to stick in it the microwave—simple fix I thought. Considering the restaurant was almost empty, by the time I got my chicken for my salad back (and it was the same exact chicken) I was almost done eating and I am a slow eater.

Now I understand that I can have high standards, having worked in fine dining, but when people go out to eat they are going not just for the food, but for the EXPERIENCE. I will say the food was good, but we go to fine dining restaurants to feel like we are at fine dining restaurants—its an experience with the meal. The food is good, but my first experience at this restaurant was very poor service.

I hate to be so critical, but we spend the whole week looking forward to our date night, and felt it could have been an exceptional experience if the waiter had given even just a slight care about our experience there instead of just the bare minimal.
