So I found the staff to be simply exceptional so major points to them on that. Now the food seemed pleasantly good and coming from Mexican descent I have to admit that some of the dishes seem to be somewhat authentic which was also a nice bonus. However the main reason I give this place only three stars is that every single one of the dishes we had came out cold as ice. I think of this place really mastered the art of bringing the food to your table hot as all Mexican food should be when eaten then they will have a true winner on their hands. How likely go back but I think I'm going to avoid the brunch buffet and stick to a single item on the menu and then judge it again to see if those plates come out cold

So, the staff is great. We admittidly arrived late(were not from Denver and didn't factor in the parking..).but the hostess got us seated quick and they were busy,so big check there. Our waitress was super efficient and we liked her. Sp, staff was greay.However, the big drawbacks are the temperature of the dishes. Everything was cold. Also, there were flies. everywhere. If the restaurant really focused on this, they'd have a winner

Awesome chicken mole, great plantains, good rice. Black beans a bit salty and too firm (I like em melt in your mouth soft). Great guacamole, awesome melted cheese dish whose name I can't recall.

Whether its a casual work lunch, girls happy hour, date night or bottomless brunch - Tamayo has proved to be one of the most versatile spots in Denver. I've loved every single meal I've had here - and I can't say enough about the margaritas. The Prickly Pear margarita is definitely my favorite.
The waitstaff is extremely professional and makes sure you are well taken care of. I took one of my best friends here for her birthday and they brought her a medley of every single dessert they had with a sparkler in the middle! They even wrote her name on the plate in caramel drizzle!
I can't say enough about this place. Definitely the best modern/upscale Mexican cuisine I've ever had. The rooftop is also incredible & has a view of historic Larimer Square & the Rockies. YOU MUST GO!

The veges were amazing! We visited this location while on vacation and chose it due to the high ratings. The service was not terribly warm or inviting but was very prompt and efficient. The menu selection was limited and not very flexible with off-menu requests or substitutions. The cheese cheese dip was not what we expected, as it was simply melted block-style cheese that quickly hardened and became inedible. The entrees more than made up for the above and where very happy with the vegetarian dish we ordered. The mixed drinks were very good and I noticed an impressive variety of liquor. Overall the location is very nice and the experience was good.
