I have come here since 1968 and it has changed..the hot dogs are cold when you get them and the changed meat brands..the root beer is still great..last time I went I said this will be the last time I come...I will miss what use to be called the A&W root beer stand..😢

The Root Beer stand is a supreme leader in dining experiences in the Dayton area. So what if it takes a little time for a server to get to you? It's well worth the wait! Take my advice and stick to the foot long chili cheese dog and a pint of root beer and you'll be satisfied!

Old fashion drive in style eatery. Good burgers and root beer floats make for fun dinning either in your car or at an outside table. Food is made to order so there is often a wait.

Overall a mixed experience. The chili fries were amazingly good. My burger was of a good size. My partner's philly cheese steak was quite oily though. We had to wait for probably around 5 minutes for a waitress to come to our car to give us the menu, then another 5 for another waiter to come to take our order. He informed that it would take 20 to 25 minutes for the food to arrive. It was a long wait but he warned us in advance.

I've been going here for most of my 61 yrs. Starting with my parents and then taking my own two sons! We always had a great experience! The boys loved thier chili dogs and fries and the Root beer they got in the little mugs that I'd buy for them to keep. My mom and I? Pork tenderloin sandwiches and onion rings!! To die for! I was there just yesterday!! See ya again in a week or two. Brought my son, 32 now, a foot long chili dog home. Small ones aren't enough now! Thanks for all past memories and all the ones to come!!
