5 star's for finally closing. they were still serving Oktoberfest beer in May. bleh. i have reason to believe the beer was probably on tap for that long.

It breaks my heart to write this. Having grown up in Covington I would regularly tell people to go to Wertheim's for their 'liver and onions', however my last experience was perhaps over 15 years ago.
Now the place is a sad shell of itself. We walked in and we were the ONLY patrons. The place smelled bad and looked worse.
Spare yourself. Go ANYWHERE else!

The service was prompt and friendly, as I would expect being the only patrons for supper. The beer was horrible: flat and tasting diluted. The German Sampler appetizer was pretty good, but our schnitzel entrees left a lot to be desired. They tasted like fried food you might find at a carnival or fair. Such a decline over the last 10+ years!

Horrible. I wanted to turn around an walk out as soon as we walked in. We were the only customers. The place is completely outdated. Tiled on the bathroom were coming up an you can see the base boards. It also smelled awful. Waitress was outside smoking as we came in. She also kept taking what seem to be personal phone calls. Food was ok an looked disgusting. The presentation of the whole place was just awful. I definitely will not be going back or recommend this place to anyone

Only leaving one star so that I can leave a reviews. PLEASE steer clear of this place. We just moved here and try to try local business out. This was on our list. Everything single thing from the moment we walked up was bad. My boyfriend had some sort of oil on his beer can. The food was microwaved, the cheese was not even melted on our nachos, the sauerkraut on our Reuben tasted like it was so old, etc etc. we should have known since when we walked up, the ONLY person at the restaurant appeared to be the host, the server, the cook.... I'm sorry but this was easily the worst experience ever in a restaurant. This place could be AWESOME. But no one there cares AT ALL. The only redeeming thing about this place is that they were understanding and we didn't have to pay. Which worked out well because we didn't eat anything and didn't even finish our beers. If management or whoever reads this, PLEASE do something better with your place because it could be amazing...
