I've never had anything bad here, everything has been very good with excellent service. The food is always good and the pies are excellent to. I just had breakfast there and I had baby calves liver and onions with Amish potato salad and coleslaw also a dinner roll . A great meal by itself . Also My favorite thing is chicken livers and chicken gravy with a dinner roll. Enjoy

It was good. Not great. Chicken good. Livers and gravy good. Potato pancakes ok, some too salty. Potato salad not to my taste at all and Cole slaw was fair. Green beans good. Rolls were dry. Prices competive. Service very nice. Probably only visit once maybe twice a year.

Never have had a bad experience here. Great staff and food. I'm glad they added the chicken & waffles to their menu full time. I'd probably avoid their entry-level burger, (go to the dozens of awesome Cincy burger spots), though I highly recommend HP if you're looking for comfort food.

I love my Hyde Park Hitching Post. The scrumptious meals are ALWAYS SIMPLY THE BEST! Stop in and try some of their Award-Winning Fried Chicken and Tasty Homemade Pies. You'll be happy you did.

The fried chicken here is delicious, as are the potato pancakes and the pie. The fried chicken is how it should be- basic and delicious, crispy and juicy. The mashed potatoes leave something to be desired. The green beans are canned, and that's okay for the price. Personally, I like dipping the potato pancakes in the applesauce. It was my first time experiencing fried green tomatoes and they tasted excellent. I feel the portion size definitely could have been larger for the price, though.
The atmosphere is very basic country kitchen, moat likely not remodeled since it was opened. It's not a romantic place, it's not a fancy place, but the food is good and the decor isn't trying to be something it isn't. Hyde Park Hitching Post does not serve alcohol. It gives you the feeling it should be "home cooking," but the sides have room for improvement. The service is friendly.
