Best banana pudding in town! The custard is rich and yummy and the dessert is topped with lightly browned meringue which, in my mind, is the only way to go! Forget whipped cream or -heaven forbid - Cool Whip, meringue rules!

My lunch from 🌟 Southern 🌟 Star 🌟 was Five Stars! I had Pecan crusted chicken (which was possibly the best chicken I have ever eaten) sweet potato souffle and creamed 🌽 corn. Thank you Southern Star and Kim for your great service. I will return.

Simple meat and vegetables type place. Pick from the board the type meat and all your vegetables. Or use the menu and select soups, sandwiches or salads. Quick, hot and good.

Great food, pleasant staff and a decent variety of foods thanks to a daily menu change. This is definitely my goto meat and three here in Chattanooga. If you're not prepared to wait, you will likely want to show up early (before 11:30am) in order to beat the crowd. I can't recommend their soups enough - and for those with a sweet tooth, you need look no further. Between the banana pudding, pies, cakes, cookies and rice crispies - you are bound to find your fix.

Great food, great prices, great customer service. If you want real southern cooking, this is a great spot. I had the meatloaf, roasted carrots, fried green tomatoes, and mashed potatoes... all were outstanding! They convinced me to splurge on dessert and the banana pudding was really good too.
