My Husband and I decided on THE MACINTOSH on a whim for our One Year Wedding Anniversary based on the online menu. Once we decided that's where we wanted to go my husband called to make a reservation and he said the lady on the phone was so helpful and polite she said there want anything available for the time we wanted and asked if we could do earlier, now I had won a pampering session with Mary Kay and it didn't finish till 6 in Mt Pleasent , my husband explained this and she told him to hold on a minute and came back and made a 6:30 reservation for us. 30 minutes before our reservation The Macintosh sent my husband a text explaining that there was a complimentary valet parking on the corner of King and Radcliffe and to remind us of our time. We arrived and was greeted by the host and he was so very lovely seating us in a booth/table, and congratulating us on our special day. The waitress we had, Monique, was perfect she was interested in our story, we had such wonderful conversations with her, and was very enthusiastic about explaining to us the food and the process and matching us with the perfect meals for us, she also brought us a champagne each complimentary for our anniversary. We ordered the Sweet potato as an appetizer and it was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations, then our mains also were so fabulous and the flavours were so different but complimented each other so well and the food was perfect portions, we got the Veal Osso Bucco and the Duck Breast. All in all this was the best food and best night out we have had and the atmosphere and the people were all so very lovely, polite, professional and lively, couldn't have made a better decision on where to go. Thanks so much for making our night so very special and worth it, we cannot thank the staff enough. Definitely recommend this place for any special occasion, 5/5 hands down.

My favorite stop in Charleston. As a vegetarian with food allergies, heading out for a group meal can be stressful. The waitstaff was amazing and the chef prepared one of the best vegetarian meals I've ever had. Others in our party raved about the pork as well

Friend staff and the food is some of the best I've ever had... the wrekfish was Great. Only complaint would be the price, it was a little high for the food portions... but would still go back for the flavor of the meal.

First time eating at the Macintosh but it exceeded our expectations. Tess was an awesome server and was very accommodating and helpful with ordering gluten-free dishes. The food itself was amazing and the flavors were dynamic. Probably the best scallops I have ever had, and the spicy watermelon sauce was very intriguing. Everyone in the party enjoyed their main dishes as well (grilled swordfish and bavette). Charleston has some amazing restaurants but it's tough to beat the combination of the atmosphere and delicious food at the Mac has to offer. Highly recommended.

We recently had a Mother's Day meal at Macintosh, and our experience was top-notch in every way. The staff was engaging, accommodating, and creative with various food allergies some of our party have. Each main course, side and dessert was fantastic. Not just good, amazing. Their menu is sophisticated and daring. Will return soon!
