After a "traumatic" hair experience as a teenager, I am SUPER picky when it comes to anyone touching my hair and picking a hair stylist. Allana is an incredible professional who LISTENS to what you want and then delivers! All too often hairdressers and stylists feign listening and then go about doing whatever they please. I would HIGHLY recommend Allana, she definitely knows what she's talking about and what she's doing! I love my hair that much more after a visit to her! :)

Allana is...the Extologist yes, but in reality she is soo much more! She has been doing my hair for TEN YEARS now and man, looking back I can just say "WOW"! She is a Transformation Artiste!! I am on the reserved side when it comes to hair but that ended right after I met Allana;) If you need/want a change, don't worry about how it will look and don't even wonder if it could be possible because you are in good hands! She is an expert on colour, cuts as well as hair extentions. You show her a picture or describe what you are thinking of and she will take it from there. And in her own words: "Honey, anyone can be a blonde!". I took a leap of faith and let her do her thing. I was very nervous and kept on interrupting her with my eyes wide trying to deal with the transformation that was happening but she calmed me down and had me more than relaxed when I saw what she can do! There is just no boundry when it comes to her ability to transform your look. If you can dream it, SHE CAN DO IT! If you have a plan, sure, go to her and she will do it BUT I suggest that you listen to her advice because she KNOWS hair. Don't bother listening to what she can do for you, I strongly recommend that you just let her take the front seat with your ideas in mind and experience how she transforms your look and Rock Your Style!!! I guarantee that she will make you Haute and Happy!

My best hair color experience ever!!! Allana is a very professional, nice, open minded person. She knows everythying about last trends and products. I am going to come over again, again and again.

Allana is amazing. She really knows her hair color and exudes confidence when she is doing a consultation. After discussing my options with her I really felt confident about the direction we were going in. I have never gotten so many positive comments from random people about my hair! The salon has everything to make you have a fun and relaxing hair experience, plus Allana is so friendly that the time just flies by.
The best thing about The Extologist is that Allana actually truly cares about the result and will do everything in her power to make your hairstyle come out the way it needs to!

I literally get stopped on the street with people complementing my haircolor. It is very vibrant but it works very well for me and I have to thank Allana for this. She is the one who came up with the magic formula :) Hair color and treatments she uses leaves my hair extra shiny and silky. Allana has always listened to my requests and I am blown away by the results.
Her salon in Boston's North End is very modern and stylish but at the same time is cozy and relaxing.
