After moving to Baton Rouge I was hoping to find a dentist that matched my positive relationship with my hometown dentist. Dr Shea and his staff definitely met my expectations. I never felt pressured into services I couldn't afford or needed, and I could count on Dr Shea to explain things in a manner I would understand.
His staff has always been nice and warm, and treated me as if I was a lifelong patient. Now that I have recently moved away from Baton Rouge I only hope my next dentist can meet the same level of care and trust that I had with Shea Family Dentistry.

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how impressed I was with my last cleaning. I don't often do this, since most people do a good job; but excellent service is rare and deserves to be recognized. I've been to quite a few dentists over my life, and Dr. Shea, I have to say you are - by far - the most thorough, patient-oriented, and informative dentist I have ever been to. Healthcare, including dental care, has to be a team approach since neither patient nor doctor can be effective without cooperation. Thank you!
And in addition to the rest of your staff, who are always efficient and a pleasure to interact with, I have to give a special shout-out to Bree. I have never, I repeat, NEVER had such a thorough cleaning. Even weeks later, I still look at my teeth and am amazed how clean they are. She took the time to explain what she was doing, and what and how I needed to proceed to keep my teeth looking good. And not just the typical "flossing is important" spiel - she offered very helpful suggestions and explained exactly how I needed to use the floss. All this time I've been doing it ineffectively! I've never had anyone really explain it like she did. She was wonderful.
Overall, your office gets 5 stars, and my emphatic referrals!

Dr. Shea and his staff run a top notch practice. When you call to schedule an appointment, you'll likely get on the phone with Christy. She's a sweetheart. In fact, all of his assistants and hygienists seem very upbeat about their careers and happy that you're in their office with them. They present video feeds during certain procedures and give light lectures on exactly what's going on inside your mouth. Not only did I leave with clean, healthy teeth but I also learned some valuable information about myself that I won't soon forget. I'll be back.

This is the best dentist that I have experienced! I would highly recommend this practice to all of my family and friends. They use new technology and are very informative. I am very confident with their practice. I love my new smile! Thanks Dr. Shea!

Dr. Shea and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They are always so warm and welcoming when you walk in and they treat you like family. Dr. Shea is a GREAT dentist! He takes pride in his work, and strives for perfection. I would recommend Dr. Shea and his staff to anyone looking for a dentist. You will NOT be disappointed!
