Good beer, good food, good decor, good bartender. I love coming here when I visit Athens. I love places like this. Go there....

Might be good for drinks but not a place to eat a meal. Had chicken and waffles and there might have been more oil than food. It was like warm and the two fried chicken pieces came with two eggo like waffles. SO had a bigger he likes it but said it could have been better.
Service was good but we never saw the same person twice. Someone bright out water, another took the orders, we were never asked if we wanted drinks, and someone else brought out food. Had to walk inside to get salt and pepper.
Seems like a good place for a college kid looking for a slightly overpriced meal of semi good / decent quality.

After not getting in on a Saturday night, we were excited to try the restaurant on a very slow Sunday. Disappointing sums it up the most. I had the Pork taco, burger slider with fries. None of it was warm when it arrived. The burger was tough and cold the taco just so so. Cold fries are never good in my opinion. The old bay popcorn was chewy with little flavor. The only thing good was the cheese. It was pricey for 2 small pieces at $9. The server was very nice. The baby roaches in the bathroom really turned my stomach. The entire restaurant seemed dirty. Our bench had crumbs etc on it. The table sticky. We did mention the roaches to the hostess who we had to search for because what seemed like the entire wait staff was on a mobile phone off in the hall between the bar and restaurant. Her reply indicated she didn't care. It makes me wonder how it got good reviews.

Trappeze is awesome, in short. It's a great date night spot that won't break the bank, but it's a big step up from most casual eateries. A perfect restaurant for DT Athens. The salads are awesome, but the real star of the show are the Belgian fries with Raspberry Ketchup- they are heavenly. Their sandwiches and other pub food are also excellent choices, but if they have one item that truly stands out among the rest, it's the fries.
They also have a very good selection of beer, though the local selection is lacking. Guaranteed to have something you haven't tried and will probably like!
Awesome restaurant!

So good!!
I consider myself a foodie. Making and eating food occupies a huge portion of my life. This is some of the best food I have ever had. Cant wait to go again and try more of their menus.
Their drink list is extensive, but I wasn't blown away by any of the local options. And the drinks are all a good $2-3 more than I think they should be even at a pub. But I would have been completely fine with paying 2-3 times as much for the food (entrees are in the $15 range, and I would have been fine with more like $30-40). So, all in all, still a pretty good value.
EDIT: Went back a second time and it was nowhere near as good. Steak frites was *way* over salted and had a massive chunk of gristle in it (see attached photo; if it was my meal, I would have sent it back); trout was quite a bit too sweet and not perfectly browned like last time (still good, but the last time I went they literally served the best piece of fish I have ever had; this was far from that). Maybe it just depends on who is cooking the day you go. Server was also fairly rude towards the end. Maybe the end of her shift? Definitely deserves -1 star for the second time, and we probably will not be going back.
