Nice quiet pub. Only popped on for a quick drink but the food we saw being served looked delicious. Shall return for lunch
Edit : We went for lunch with our children on Sunday. It was fairly busy but the staff were very accommodating and seated us without any fuss. Ordered our food and also took a recommendation of cauliflower cheese. Children's food arrived first and the girls seemed very happy. Ours arrived and it was cold. I'm fully aware it was due to our youngest daughters food being cooked fresh and ours waiting for hers to be cooked. Staff were amazing, whisked ours off with lots of apologies and returned with fresh plates and food which was piping hot. The staff repeatedly apologised and ensured our meals were now perfect.
Oh, and he was right the cauliflower cheese was the best I've ever tasted.
Would not hesitate to return for food in the future. One little hiccup, promptly rectified and very happy family.

Visited yesterday and experienced good food and a lovely atmosphere. The lady serving us was efficient and extremely pleasant and the young man behind the bar friendly and welcoming.

It's a nice a place with a good variety of seats and places inside i.e. indoors and outdoors for smokers. Tenders are very nice and helpful, but there aren't many choices when it comes to beer and ale. I've been there 5 times and still like it.

Nice place to get away from the hustle of York's streets, good as you would expect from a large branded pub. Staff are friendly and courteous. Down side the Wi-fi is not the greatest. The cask ales are very good and there is a good selection.
