Pretty terrible, mainly because of the food. I appreciate you get what you pay for, but not only was the food very average, there was hardly anything there! Paid the thick end of £13 for ribs and chicken - the plate was tiny as were the portions. Was meant to get 6 wings but only got, 4, had literally no bbq sauce, maybe 10 chips, and the while there may have been two onion rings, thus meeting the menu's claim of there being more than one, the second ring was teeny-tiny. And to top it off, when I went to have a very gentle moan to the manager, the young herbert who said I could talk to him, then tried to get me to sign up to a loyalty card, as I'm standing there complaining. With all the good independent restaurants in York we were wrong to go for (what we thought) would be a relatively reliable option. I wold not here again, and I would suggest anyone thinking of eating here to go anywhere else.

Decent place for the money. Food was good. Burgers are well cooked. Toilets could do with a clean. Visit was mid week lunchtime and was quiet. Food came in under 20 mins. Burger and pint deal is good £9.75. Service was good.

Decent pub, nice staff and great drinks selection. Plenty of non-alcoholic choices too. Loads of seating is available too. I would definitely recommend a visit.
