Amazing pies - unfortunately I could not take a picture because they were eaten within seconds! We went there around 18:00 on a weekday and the wait time was almost an hour, although we were warned about this when we called to make a reservation which for some reason couldn't be made. It was a rather cold evening and since the pub was full we had to sit outside. Great beers on the tap, btw, and they kept up warm. The owner was kind enough to open the huge umbrella at the back in case it started raining. I will definitely recommend the pies there. Thinking of making this a monthly trip...

Pies are the best! Get free gravy with it although this tends to vary from time to time, sometimes it's extra ordinary sometimes it's a disappointment. Very nice classic pub if u want food don't go to late, they also do lunch. Decent range of drinks at a reasonable price.

Very good pies which make this place well worth a visit. However it's often very full so you might have to wait a while before you actually get to dig in. A random, not particularly good selection of beer means that this isn't a drinker's pub and the decor is significantly lack lustre.

Pies, pies, pies! The only problem is the wait, over an hour for 4 pies, this is the second visit and a similar wait both times, well after the lunch time rush. I'd invest in another oven tbh. The tables could do with a wipe down more often (if at all)
BUT, I would go back anytime. The pies are superb, the chips wonderful, mushy peas tasty the ale is well kept. If you go knowing this and you have a lust for pies, this is the place for you. Pie-tastic.

Went with a large group of friends. The staff is lovely and the pies are always amazing! Their Monday night pub quiz is also always entertaining.
