Always good here, laid back but attentive service, good food. Sometimes busy but if we have waited, drinks have been offered on the house. Well run great local pub.

Lovely, open town pub with a bar and dining area, a back room with amazing views, fire in the winter. Very cosy.

We had a lovely meal at the Mitre , its a busy pub so if you want some peace and quiet seek out the back room.

Bar staff didn't know how to make an Irish coffee
Out door canopies drip the rain water onto the decking. Making the top of the steps hazardous.
Good side the pub is very dog friendly

One of the best pubs in Shaftesbury. Great views. Good range of beers. Good food too. Smart. Popular with locals too. Central, right near everything.
