A superb real ale pub offering a variety of drinking areas & HUGE beer garden. Visit slightly ruined by a young barmaid with a serious attitude problem who also pulls a short pint. Get rid of her, or retrain her & it'll deserve five stars.

We arrived and checked in to The Star inn at around 10.45pm. Although they had stopped serving food they had some bar snacks available. Staff were friendly, rooms are basic but clean. The only downside was being charged an extra £20 as the room was supposedly for 1 person even though it had a double bed. That was a little disappointing. Overall though this is a basic but comfortable place to stay

Awsome local pub good food and great beer. Tuesday night quiz night is a must l. Great for family gatherings quiet intimate night out and foe watching sport

Can't stop coming back. Excellent beer fantastic staff. Great food even if your Sunday roast is a trump burger. Lovely beer garden and kiddie friendly mine spent 5 hours on the bouncy castle loved it
