5rhythm's Dance class - Not good I'm afraid. (Writing on behalf of myself and two ladies)
Turn up to a loud trance Dane track with two chaps dancing on arrival taking the money like an entrance to a last resorts late night club in central.
I passed the £20 and he took it gave me a fake smile and looked at the next mug in line for pockets. I lingered around for my change as I was advised before going it would be just £10 for low earners. As a self employed community artist working for a charity funds are tight. I continued to wait and the man still dancing as if at a rave pointed for me to go. I asked about my change he replied "um how much" I said I thought it was £10 he said passive aggressively "so your making a donation" in what I can only describe as having watched far too many gangster films kind of tone (and he meant it poor lad)
I said no I wanted to pay £10 he replied whilst mostly ignoring me and taking money, dancing still fake smiling
"OK how much do you want to pay"
What? (I want to leave at this point but I feel sorry for him working for vulnerable adults I have compassion)
He gives me £5 change? I didn't want to entertain what ever it was this was so thought I'd write this review Instead.
Finally I'm in the space with loud stomping music from dance and trance. Its OK though I had the company of several sweaty men glaring at me suggestively, waiting for the monotone host to begin her preaching trance "hold one another, hug"
What? I've been here 5 minutes having to avoid eye contact from several men after a sweaty cuddle. No thank you.
After being looked at like I might be a problem having not Immediately relaxed and fallen into the arms of a middle age sweaty man breathing in my face I found some space to give it a chance -
The track changed and another generous man offered his entire body in harmless connection & movement"
I took my leave promptly thanking them.
This is not what I know as five rhythm's. I imagine it may have had something at one point. Now however purely money orientated.
Also I'm not one for narcotics and exercise (not confirmed my opinion)
