I am very frustrated with the service at Bankside Heath Club. I've started working in the area and was really keen to join this gym so I could go in my lunch break however, it has been a very frustrating experience. Firstly, I just needed to know how much the price was for a monthly membership so I popped in to ask. They couldn't give me this information without speaking with a sales consultant. So i went online and used the online booking form, did not hear back from anyone. I went in for a second time to the club and filled in an enquiry card in at reception, handed it to the receptionist, no one got back to me and for the third time, I went in to ask for the price and they said the sales rep is busy and the reason she hasn't gotten back to me is because she had "many important meetings in the city". I left my email address and STILL no one has come back to me. Very frustrating experience.

Could is an update to the finishes but the equipment is more than sufficient and staff are great. Really excellent value for a central London fitness club. Amazing number of classes too.

Has potential, but it seems like management is going cheap. You pay extra for a "towel membership", but they give you one, threadbare towel (and none to use on the equipment). The change rooms and shower area are often dirty, and there's a particular trainer who starts chasing members off the gym floor an hour before closing time, telling people he wants to be able to go home. The location is convenient and equipment not bad, but they'll need to make improvements before I renew my membership

Nice gym but smells! They should really improve Cleaning and ventilation. Also increase the number of classes that are always fully booked... apart from that I really like the staff and the classes

This is my regular gym, as I work nearby I go most lunchtimes. They have a good selection of different classes during popular times (morning, lunchtime, after work) and a good online system which allows you to book up to 5 days in advance. A rolling contract means if I move jobs I can cancel my membership easily and am not locked in. There is a good selection of machines & equipment (not that I use them unless in class) and PTs are always on the floor if you need help. The changing rooms are adequate, could be cleaner but it depends on what time you go - it'll be messy during peak hours. Plenty of lockers and showers as well. For the price, I'm very happy with the gym.
