Absolutely fantastic stay. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. They try to accommodate every need that you have and papa close attention to the details. I would stay they again in a heart beat. This was the best hotel that I have stayed so far.

A lovely hotel again! We have stayed here several times and it is such a friendly place. Recommended if you are tired of big impersonal London hotels these guys deliver quality service in spades - a special thanks to Maria who was so helpful in finding the right tables to entertain our guests! We shall return!

I agree with other reviewers that the rooms are in need of a refresh. They are dated and a bit worn. But beds were comfy and room was clean. And I bump back up to 4 stars because the bar kicked butt -- absolutely terrific cocktails by gents who knew their business, and above average food.

Overall lovely stay. Impressed by the friendly and attentive staff. They asked for our name at checkin and greeted us by name again later on. Champagne was brought to our room upon arrival. Expensive but worth it.

Afternoon Tea at Galvin (At the Athenaeum) was perfect. Food delicious, staff excellent but unobtrusive and location relaxed. Don't waste your time at the nearby Ritz, walk a few hundred metres and get something exceptional :)
