Went there for lunch today with my wife. From the outside looked like an English type bar and inside, kinda looked like one as well although it’s supposed to be Swedish. We ordered the steak and ox, and it was quite tasty, specially the steak. I don’t know how they managed to charcoal the beef without it being oily, it was delightful meal. They were a little stingy on the fries and rocket though.
The ox on was pretty good, broke down well, but it was very heavy and meaty, maybe too much and we barely finished it. In all honesty we should have got a salad and the steak. For the price, I expected better, the steak £17 and ox £16.50 but overall pretty good.

We really enjoyed the location, food and drinks. Service was great. Best porterhouse steak for a long time

I recently ate here for a business dinner. I had positive expectations after looking at the menu and some pictures of the restaurant interior online. But upon arrival, the photographs paint a prettier picture than the look and feel really is when you arrive. It's a little more lackluster and less warm and inviting than I was expecting.

The food was also disappointing across the board. We got two appetizers and two main entrees and all were just okay at best. The swedish meatball dish, which I had very much been looking forward, was barely edible. There was so much salt in the mashed potatoes that I couldn't even eat them, and I love salty foods! The only thing I enjoyed was the English breakfast tea, sad to say.

Additionally, I had what was obviously a new server who just was TERRIBLE. Very friendly but not good at her job at all. I had to chase her down repeatedly -- to order drinks, to order food, to get the check. It was frustrating.

I would not recommend.

Solid food, although not hugely creative. Mains were a bit salty. Both the food and drinks are fairly expensive. Service was rather formal and brusque for what is essentially a fancy pub. This was our first visit, and we felt somewhat sidelined in favour of the regular clientele. Overall we had an enjoyable meal, but for the price I'd expect more!

I booked this restaurant after reading reviews online and seeing the pictures. It looked like a great cozy place to dine on a Saturday evening, nothing ended up being like that.
After we arrived at the venue and been seated, the table was dirty having chocolate sauce on it and pieces of food from previous people. We had to ask the waiter to clean it for us. This is obviously something I don't expect when you have a booking with at least 4 days ahead.
We ordered the food and a bottle of wine. For the food, they totally forgot to bring the bread with the starters. The wine bottle was around 2 meters away from the table and we had to ask the waiter for a refill all the time.
The time between the dishes was extraordinary long and also for the bill we had to ask the waiter to come and collect the card for payment.
I made a complain which was directed to the manager, they apologized and excluded the service charge.
It's such a shame that such a restaurant is open in Marleybone, there are so many other options that wouldn't have ruined a great Saturday evening.
