Tried to request to rent a vehicle using Citirental website. Website would not confirm my request. Then received a call from a member of staff at Citirental complaining about the fact i had enquired multiple times and that he didn't want my business. He was blaming me for the websites failure. Terrible customer service and i would advise not dealing with this company.

Citirental Swiss Cottage they are a bunch of scammers!

I Have hired many vehicles in the UK before and this is by far the worst service I have experienced! First of all I have been given to drive a old vehicle, filthy inside with a driver seat broken and a petrol tank light faulty ... not only that they did charged my bank card of a £350 immediately, at Citirental they don't hold your money as Deposit like most of other companies they charge you straight away and then you need to wait over a week to get part of your Money back. I was unfairly charged for returning their vehicle late ( I was nearly 50
Mins late due to traffic ) with another daily fee, tried to explain the reason of my delay but l wasn't able to speak with a customer service rappresentive ... purely because basically they haven't got one!! This company is so unethical and they will do whatever they can to charge you for things like been late for 45 mins or for damages that you have not caused, they will trick you! So you have been warned!!
AVOID THEM AVOID CITIRENTAL SWISS COTTAGE. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

Received the best service in comparison to their competitors. The guy at the front desk is kinda cute too.

CitiRental can turn sour on you quickly. I sought a refund of a £50 'admin’ fee for a swiftly retracted local authority parking fine. If they’d just said no, I’d have left it. But patronising emails from CitiRental’s Anna Malassa seemed designed to goad, e.g.: “Surely you must understand we are BOTH victims of the system,” and “You got your money’s worth.” (!). Pity, as the desk staff are friendly (as I wrote in a review here earlier).

The gentleman was extremely helpful and customer focussed and the the van was clean and in very good shape for a hire van. I did 200 plus miles and it was great to drive and had no faults whatsoever. Checking the van back in was quick and easy - the only thing that I would have liked was a receipt for the van confirming the amount of the deposit refund for peace of mind. The refund has come on time and is what I expected so I had no need to worry. A very good experience which I would recommend to anybody.
