Just one big problem here, but although the staff have been told before about it last year, absolutely nothing has been done about it. The front door. That's the problem. Because in winter, people come in and it doesn't shut and the place is really really draughty and cold. Which is a real shame because otherwise it's great. But the management are just not bothered about the cold hitting their clients it seems. Very odd. Quite a few other customers were bothered by this as well. Seems strange they cant be bothered to do anything about it after all this time, and they do know it's a problem...

My first pub in London, didn't have a lot of expectations, but did expect better service. We sat at a table for a while before we eventually got up and had to ask for help. The service here didn't seem to put a lot of effort into anticipating our needs ahead of time and we had to ask for a lot of things that we thought should have been common sense for a server to do, but no. It was early in the day, so maybe we caught them before they were firing on all cylinders, who knows. The food was average, beer was cold, so 3 stars is appropriate.

It's cheap, like your standard Spoons.
It's got pretty decent-ish food like any Spoons.
But it's in such a great location! Nowhere cheaper around for a pint or a bite. It's like, Spoons Plus. It's even cleaner than others, and boasts good service.

A standard Wetherspoons - cheap beer, and inexpensive but tasty food. They could do with adding a few extra tables, as when we visited on a Sunday afternoon the tables were completely full but there was plenty of extra floor space. However, we were served quickly and the staff were friendly. An unexpected highlight was the toilets - very nicely decorated! Location is also excellent, close to Hyde Park and Oxford Street, but tucked away enough that it's not too busy.
