How much you enjoy the Bierkeller will depend on you. I have just returned for the first time in 36 years (1981 The Eurythmics, 2017 The Horrors) and was seriously pleased to find the whole place essentially unchanged. Great venue where you can really experience the band. There are downsides; it's a bit scruffy, you need cash, the pillars round the dance floor are a pain, but the atmosphere is brilliant and the sound more than adequate.

What a dump! Went to see Indigo girls and was unable to bear the excessive heat and grim sticky floor. Staff were ok but had no idea about crowds and heat which got to 90degrees. Dirty, dark and rank venue.

Part of my youth, they used to have top bands at one time, great beer just don't fall down the steps at the end of the night

Went for a gig, had a great night but only thanks to the band. The bar is terrible. Took ages to get served. Bar staff not particularly attentive. Saw numerous people getting served out of turn.

We went here to see a stage production of Starlight Express with Bristol Musical Youth Productions. Was an excellent show and a good location to have this type of show. I never been to this location before even though I'd heard about it. It had plenty of atmosphere and is a cosy location to see any sort of performance. Will be going back again.
