Housed in The Whisky Bond, the GSS's primary focus are artist studios spread over several floors. There is a small cafe front of house and they do run some very good courses and weekend kids clubs.
GSS facilities are open to the public - you do have to attend an induction course and pay subsequent usage fees.
I attended a great welding course for beginners which was run over four Saturdays. As well as a master of the MIG & TIG, Tim Fraser was also an excellent teacher.
