I did the shellac manicure at the salon. It looked okay for about 3-4 days but not longer. I have no complaint about the application of the polish itself, but the quality of manicure was terrible. Cuticle wasn't removed properly, lots of dry old skin was left. After a week my hands looked like they've never known any care. I can do a better job myself, only reason I went to a salon was because I felt lazy to do it. For 32 pounds that manicure should be flawless for 2 weeks. I know what I'm talking about, I've had perfect manicure done many times, unfortunately, never in the UK. How can you even expect that a dry manicure is going to last longer than 3 days? It's a cheat to oil up that dry skin so it looks okay immediately following the manicure, it all shows couple of days after. I would expect that quality if I paid 10 pounds, but not 32. I wish I could post a picture to demonstrate.

I've been coming here for about a year now and it's just a wonderful place to be pampered. The massages from Claire are excellent. Manicures and pedicures have been equally good. The therapists are all really pleasant and professional. The actual venue is a treat; from the beautiful Georgian sitting room to the calming relaxation room (ideal for chilling before or after a massage) and the fabulous Nail treatments room. I particularly appreciate the Treat Tuesdays as well as the regular offers throughout the year. It's a great place to indulge yourself (and it isn't ridiculously over-priced!); Justine and Jill should be proud of themselves.

Camomile is my second favourite spa and beauty treatment salon in Edinburgh, with beautiful interior and lovely staff. The atmosphere is very calm and therapists are professional. The manicure room is particularly impressive and I'm sure it's a great place for a glass of bubbly and a mini manicure with a couple of girlfriends.
