Gated playground with three climbing frames plus a toddler one. There's a rock wall for clambering, a zipwire, 2 roundabouts, plenty of swings, seats and picnic tables, a takeaway café and loos outside the gated area. There's the expanse of the Meadows behind for games and there are probably over 20 tennis courts a few metres away. The office for the tennis is inside the playpark next to the café which had offhand staff. This is the best playpark I know of in the city centre but more playpark than adventure playground and so attracts the younger end of the under 10s. Another we have used is at the west end of Princes St Gardens. I've been told there's a good adventure playpark at Dalkeith country park

Spent good two hours here with a friend and her two kids. Both 11-year-old boy and a two -year-old girl had lots of fun. Plenty of things to keep children entertained. It's safe and on a sunny day, it's an ideal place.

The meadows is one of my favorite places of Edinburgh. Great for having a run, BBQ, playing some football or just for a relaxing stroll (of course, as every other outside activity in Edinburgh, this depends on the weather =P )

Great Park for all ages. My son who is 14 months loves this park. The sand area is great fun in the summer. We don't live near but always make a special trip to spend an afternoon here.

Visited here with the children on a visit to The city. It's a great play park with plenty of stuff to go at and only 15 mins walk from the centre.
It's also part of The Meadows, a lovely big green space good for walks and exercise.
