We stayed at this lovely hotel from 18th to 20th September to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary and were so pleased we chose this venue. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a very high standard with no expense spared even down to the quality of the cutlery, glasses and coffee maker in the room.
Our room was spacious, light and airy, with a mini fridge, hairdryer and straighteners, alongside finishing touches including cotton buds and tissues. The bed was huge and very comfortable - again quality products. There is a micro-brewery in the bar downstairs serving Czech beers which my husband assured me were amazing. Just ask one of the Bar staff, they will tell you all about the micro-brewery and you can even try the beer before you buy it - what more could you ask for!
Food - lots to choose from on lunch and dinner menu's, which is reasonably priced, we had the sharing platter for 2 in the evening which was spectacular and included ribs, beef brisket, chicken wings and creamed corn. The quality and presentation of the food was exceptional....well done to Chef and his staff for all of the hard work that goes into delivering a great plate of food.
Staff and Management - Very pleasant and happy people who could not do enough for us from entering to leaving the hotel.
Overall - an amazing few days in a fantastic hotel. Thanks to all of you who made our anniversary special and we look forward to seeing you again on our next visit :)

Nice atmosphere and food, and a good offer for a starter and a main for £10. Desserts weren't great unfortunately

A really nice place to stay in. Close and reachable on foot from the center. Lunch and dinner menu is really great and cheap. Morning served breakfast is worth to include. Super nice and friendly staff.

Rick's is easily one of my favourite places to visit in Edinburgh. The food is delicious and plentiful, the selection of drinks is so diverse it will always leave you with tough decisions to make and the staff are second to none. Our waiter during our last visit, Ruben, was a credit to the establishment and was able to strike a rapport with myself and my partner effortlessly, making us feel even more at home in what is already a very welcoming and comfortable environment.
We will definitely return when we next venture to Edinburgh in the not-so-distant future!
