The food is very good and the real ale is kept just right and a very good selection. The staff are very helpful and polite been coming here for a few years yes had a couple of bad meals over the many years I've came here but no place is perfect and the meals are 98% of the time are very good

Avoid breakfasts as always cold and stingey. GOOD value food and beer with nice people and real ales.
Manager and sidekick are arrogant, rude, lazy and unhelpful however. Their attitude is you are guests and lucky to be there. Any issues shouted down and ignored.
Friendly locals make up for this with their love however.
