Great atmosphere, staff were lovely. Fantastic food too. Can get quite busy during peak times, might be worth reserving a table beforehand.

Nice atmosphere friendly bar staff but not so friendly guy serving carvery all food just about warm, not so nice tasting spuds perhaps kept warm too long? food bits on floor around counter! shame used to be better only giving 2 stars because of friendly bar staff other wise 1
Even worst now it's been refitted ran out of Sunday roast @ 3.30pm and ran out of most things on menu evertually managed to order half chicken which was more like a sparrow and was cold , ordered desert only to be told after waiting 20mins they ran out ! Many customers coming in and trying to order to be told 'sorry we've ran out and many walking out an absolute joke would never go again whoever is responsible for ordering food in should be fired!

Went there last Bank holiday Sat. Place empty. Not like the days of the carvery. Party of 6. We waited around 40 mins for food. Steak overcooked, also battered fish. My light bite chicken had a burnt topping of cheese (i think it was cheese). They have lost our custom. Bring back the carvery and regain your customers.

Their quiz night is very good. Great selection of beers and ciders and free nachos with your quiz. Very well thought out.

We nearly didn't go here due to so many bad reviews on here, but due to having had such a good experience today, I thought a should leave a top review. We went with friends as a group of 8 with 2 young families. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, the menu is extensive and very cheap, and the kids menu is extensive and cheap also. The food was fine. I mean it's a cheap family eatery pub, don't go there for fine dining, but the food on offer was well cooked, fresh and tasty, and was delivered out in a timely manner. On the day in question though there was am excellent face painter there and a magician, all free of charge, which with 4 kids 7 and under in tow, was just brilliant. We will definitely be going there again some time.
