Food came out altogether even though we had ordered a starter of antipasti. When the steak came it was over cooked and had to be returned. They did prepare a new plate of food which was much better but by this time others at the table had finished. The visiting staff explained that they were there to help and did their best to help but other servers seemed to be clueless at best and uninterested at worst. We waited 40 minutes for our desserts and when asked about them were told there was a large party that they were focusing on and could not see to us as well as them, so our order would be filled when they were done serving the large party. Not what you want to hear as a customer. It came across as you are less important than them, wait.

Pleasant staff. We were informed that our food would be 35 minutes from ordering, we were prepared to wait. When it arrived it was only just warm which didn't help as the place was very cold. I doubt we will go again.

The worst experience I’ve had in a pub/restaurant.
1) Our daughters meal was obviously a frozen microwaved pizza.
2) Our daughters drink did not arrive with her meal and we had to request it again.
3)The hunters chicken was covered in fat and skin. The “chef” has attempted to conceal this with rubber cheese.
4) The waiting staff were nowhere to be found.
5) We asked for colouring pencils for the children which we were told were “on their way” but never showed up.
6) Our table was forgotten about. Empty plates stayed on the table for a good half hour - 45 minutes.
7) Our daughters ice cream didn’t turn up. We had to go back to the bar (AGAIN) and request it several times.
8) The bar staff were more concerned with serving regular customers than their diners.
The best thing about this experience was when we left.

Food was cold, and overpriced for what we got.
Staff were rude, been here many times before and never had this problem but today I’m disgusted at the service that was received. Their deals that they have on the website don’t validate either. Toilets were in a disgusting state for the amount of staff that they have working here. They also forgot the children’s drinks, won’t be wasting my time or money coming back here again.

Nice pub as GK eating pubs go. Service is always good, as is the beer especially the guest ales. Only had snack bowl option for the food which was good. Overall I would recommend a visit.
