Unbelievably rude on phone when I ask for quote didn't seem to be bothered won't be giving them business in future.

If I could give it a zero I would,picked my partner up at place of work early in the morning and was told can do it twice a week ongoing then to be told by a rude employee they won't do a short distance at that time,even though the owner said they would,I said its disgusting as a company of which he replied I will just say we are booked up to avoid a complaint basically

We hired a cab from Express in Bristol city centre after a night out, to take us home. My partner was quite out of it, and I am from America on holiday, so I was hoping that if I gave such things as a street address, postal code, or nearby major roads, the driver could help us find our way. Our driver asked for payment up front. (25 quid for a trip to Mangotsfield.)

The driver did manage to get us to the vicinity of our destination, but not all the way home. I indicated that we were in the neighborhood, but we might need to drive around a bit to get our bearings. Within a minute of making this request, the driver began to repeatedly ask if I knew where we were, and began to complain that we were costing him extra money.

Within two or three minutes, I figured out which way we needed to go, but by this time, the driver seemed to be angry and was driving fast, passing by roads that we needed to turn onto. The first time I asked him to turn around and drive back to a road he'd passed, he seemed very frustrated. Even when we got onto very nearby neighborhood roads, he continued to drive fast, making it difficult to request turns.

Figuring we were close enough, I asked to be let out. He asked if we were home--I indicated that we were not quite home, but that he seemed to be in a very big hurry, so we'd just walk the rest of the way. He didn't seem bothered at all, and let us go. I was quite upset at this point and forgot to grab my umbrella. When I called the office on Monday to see if it had turned up, it had not.

I'd like to keep my review objective, but on a personal note, I feel my driver was very rude. He asked for an expensive fare, didn't know his way around very well, and took it out on his customers by becoming angry and unprofessional. For what we paid, a knowledgeable driver (or a few extra minutes to figure it out on my own) should have been no trouble.
