Was in Bristol, visiting from Australia, for 6 days. Went in everyday. Friendly staff and all the other folk in the pub treated us like we lived there. A real old pub atmosphere.

The pub is a nice building and the staff are friendly enough
But in all my years I have never had to watch sky sports football with subtitles because they do not turn the sound on!
Then the locals started eating take away food at the bar. It stank
As soon as the silent football finished I was off!!

An old pub with a good atmosphere. A rather compact pub, so can get a bit cosy at times. Drinks are nothing to write home about.

Classic pub- great beer. I have been popping in here for a few years now. The beer is exceptionally well kept and makes you wonder why other pubs arent as good. Decor is amazingly traditional. Beer isnt the cheapest but worth a few pence more. Possibly the best pub in Bristol

Rare to see such a beautiful traditional English pub. The cosy enclosed lounge area is especially interesting. 5 ales on tap, including my hometown brew which tastes exactly as it does in the best-kept pubs back home. Well worth a visit.
