Didn't have a great experience. Had steak which was about 30% gristle and very chewy, they gave us a very small concessionary discount which didn't make up for it. Chips were nice though and the service was good. Not very French though.

Hidden gem and my favourite restaurant in Brighton & Hove. Excellent food, attentive service and great atmosphere, what else do you need! Eaten here on a number of occasions and it always delivers.

A great restaurant, very lucky to have it in the neighbourhood. Been there many times and always have a great time. Such warm welcome, and delicious food cooked to perfection and v attentive service. Both the house red and white wine are excellent, bill usually comes up to £35-£40 per person incl. service and it's absolutely worth it. Good dishes for vegetarians too; ask as it's not v obvious.

What a charming venue in Church Road Hove, hence the name. We were recommended by friends to visit L'Eglise which we did for our daughter's 17th birthday in December. The party for eight including my wife's octogenarian mother was greeted by the owners with the expected French charm. The meal was a wonderful demonstration of French cuisine at it's best as was the excellent red house wine. All round value for money.

The ambience was authentic bistro. The decor included tables made in France and black and white photos of Paris adorning the walls. We had ordered a birthday cake a few days before which arrived at the end of the meal having been made to order by the French Head Chef.

We could not fault the service or the quality of the menu. We will be recommending L'Eglise to our friends and relations and would love to visit it again for an evening meal.
