If you like great customer service, tasty food, timely servings and value for money... go somewhere else. Someone compared them to Fawlty Towers and I think it is the closest comparison I have seen so far. Absolutely no comeback on my complaints as well - no respect for customers.

I visited this place with my friends for lunch. The new source menu is full of delicious. We enjoyed really beautiful time served with out waiter Lukas. We definitely will come back soon!

Amazing venue with beautiful staff! I come to the venue all the time when I'm walking my dog and I can say that proud definitely is improving day by day. They just have this amazing new menu, oh my god the fish nibbles and the crab are from other world. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely beautiful place (even more so since the new ownership of Alex Proud) and the food is good however more expensive than previous with less menu selection and no longer posh dog treats served. Dogs also restricted to the small bar and garden now. Best suited for a fancy meal, groups, events or afternoon tea but at a price. Good groupon deals can be found though!! (And for the Proud Cabaret in Brighton too!) Lovely surrounding walks here also.

My family and I visited the Stanmer House for an afternoon tea.
Having this beautiful weather we were lucky to experience it outside in a fabulously set garden.
The choice of canapés and cakes was brilliant and everything was really tasty.
I would definitely recommend the place for families.
I would also like to express my appreciation to Bruno who made our visit very special.
